Getting To The Island

You’ll need to take a boat, no cars allowed on the Island

North Captiva Island is only accessible by boat or private plane with landing privileges at a Member’s Only airstrip. The closest major airport is Ft Myers, Florida (RSW). The airport is 36 miles from the marina. Punta Gorda (PDG)  is 27 miles and is serviced by Allegiant Air.

If you are driving in, there is secure overnight parking available for a fee at the marina. If you are flying, it is best to take airport transportation since you won’t need a car on the Island. We recommend Pine Island Taxi. For more information visit Allow one hour for the drive from the airport to the marina, if you are not making any stops. Arrive 30 minutes prior to the scheduled ferry departure time to allow for check-in and loading.

North Captiva Island Club provides water transportation to their club dock. Their parking is located at 5576 Doug Taylor Circle, St. James City, Florida, 33956. Find their rates for parking and ferry along with the ferry schedule at

Our caretaker will meet you at the North Captiva Island Club dock and get you into the home. North Captiva Island Club will transport your luggage and groceries to the home. Island Girl does not provide this service, so please do not book with them.
